Germany’s Kristin Otto was the first woman who won 6 medals in 1952. This feat was impossible for swimmers until Natalie Coughlin won in 2008. Emma Mckeon has already far surpassed their records.

Mckeon comes from a family with a swimming history. Her father Ron competed in the Olympic games of 1980 and 1984 where as her mother competed in the Commonwealth games of 1982. Emma is highly influenced by her parents and wants to make them proud.
She was taught swimming by her parents from infancy. No wonder swimming comes as naturally as breathing to her.
Mckeon is the third Australian to win a gold medal in women’s 100m Freestyle at Olympic Games after Dawn Fraser and Jodie Henry.
Emma won a Gold medal in the 4x100m Freestyle relay and bronze in women’s 200m Freestyle held in Rio de Janeiro, 2016.
