“Honesty is the best policy”
This Michigan man lives by the proverb. George Condash was driving through the road near Westland Federal Credit Union, when he spotted a plastic bag. Condash then decided to throw the trash. So, people won’t have to swerve around it.
This act alone makes him a Good Smartian.
But to his surprise, the so-called trash felt heavy, it was cash bag with $40,000 tag. The surveillance footage shows George carrying the cash bag inside the ATM.
George then jokingly asks the counter employee, Is there a reward for $40,000? then put the money on the counter. The credit union employees were more than grateful for his honest act.
Now, my day will be better, said one employee. Officials gave George, a small token of appreciation.
