By now, the buzz of Alec Baldwin upcoming movie “Rust” and the unfortunate turn of events might have reached your ears.

Last Thursday, Mr. Baldwin was rehearsing for a movie scene in church a set. In the film, the 63-year old actor plays an outlaw. Affidavits from the incident report suggests, an assistant director went out the church and grabbed a gun off the cart. According to the scene, Mr. Baldwin had to cross draw a revolver. He had to do it while pointing at the camera. The gun was handed over by the assistant director as a “cold gun.” Meaning it has no live rounds.

Rolling, Camera, action and out came the bullet that hit the cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins in the chest, injuring the director, Joel Souza.
The script supervisor who made the 911 call, has now hired a lawyer, Gloria Allred, to undertake their own investigation in the ongoing events. “There are many unanswered questions” said Ms. Allred.
But what is current state and will Alec Baldwin be charged?
Mary Carmack-Altwies, the Santa Fe district attorney said, “We have not ruled out anything, criminal charges and everything else is still on the table” during a phone interview. Initially speculations were made, but the current response from the district attorney points a long investigation.
At this moment, the investigation’s prior focus is on finding the type of rounds that killed Ms. Hutchins. As the Western Film plot revolves around the outlaws and rebels. The set had a lot of bullets lying around during the fatal incident.
Along with Sheriff Adan Mendoza, of Santa Fe County, district attorney Ms. Carmack-Altwies will speak to the press on Wednesday. They added, “it is one of the most complex cases that comes to memory”. Furthermore, a case this magnitude revolving these many prominent people is a different kind, indeed.
