The Hollywood industry recently witnessed a tragic incident where beloved cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died. She died on-spot after sustaining a gunshot to the chest with a revolver used by Alec Baldwin. ( To read more about it, CLICK HERE)
During the Red Notice premiere in Los Angeles last night, Dwayne Johnson spoke of the tragedy that took place. He is also long-time friends with Alec Baldwin.
The Rock said he was heartbroken, and his heart goes out to her family and everybody on set. The tragedy deeply shook him as he promised not to use any real guns in his movies during filming any longer.
Dwayne Johnson owns a production company called Seven Bucks. He promises that any movie made by his company will “not use real guns ever again.”

“I can’t speak for anyone else, but I can tell you, without an absence of clarity here, that any movie that we have moving forward with Seven Bucks Productions – any movie, any television show, or anything we do or produce – we won’t use real guns at all. We’re going to switch over to rubber guns, and we’re going to take care of it in post. We’re not going to worry about the dollars; we won’t worry about what it costs.”
On top Dwayne also added not to use real guns even while working with other studios.
Accidents on the set has resulted in many deaths and injuries of actors and crew members alike. Brandon Lee died due to gun shot wound (The Crow), Vic Morrow and two child actors, Renee Shinn Chen and My-ca Dinh Lee died due to Helicopter crash (Twilight Zone), Jon-Erik Hexum died while playing Russian roulette by acidentally shooting himself (Cover up).
We hope his decision will create a desirable and needed impact in Hollywood industry.
