In early Wednesday morning, the Western Australia police knocked down a locked house’s door in 1:00 am (ET) in hopes to find; Cleo Smith,4 who went missing 18 days ago. The location of house, coastal town of Carnarvon was not far from where Cleo was last seen; 48 km/ 30 miles from the campsite. After two weeks search through air, sea and land search, the Western Australia police found a little gilr inside the house.
When one of the officers asked, “what’s your name?”, the girl replied, “My name is Cleo.”
“I have seen seasoned detectives openly crying with relief. I am speechless which is very rare.. this is something we all hoped in our hearts, and it has come true.” said, the deputy police commissioner, Col Blanch.
The deputy officer added:
“We were looking for a needle in a haystack and we found it, that led us to what happened at 12:46 a.m. this morning.”
Furthermore, a man from Carnarvon with no family connection, 36 years of age is taken into custody for the alleged kidnaping of the four year old.

The little girl was united with her parents after some medical examination. Cleo’s mother Ellie Smith posted the happy news on Instagram, “Our family is whole again.”

Around 1:30 am Cleo woke up and asked for some water, before she went back to bed. When Ellie woke up in 6 a.m. there was no sign of Cleo or her sleeping bag.
After the western police were notified and arrived on the scene, Cleo’s missing sleeping bag and the tent zip’s height pointed towards kidnapping. Cleo was gone and her mother was in unbearable state of anguish. With tearful eyes, Ellie Smith detailed the events before her daughter went missing.
October 16, Ellie along with her husband, Jake Gliddon, and two daughter were on the beginning of a family camping trip; Quobba Blowholes, a famous recreational destination on the coast. After Cleo went missing on the very first day, the family made public apeals. Within a week of the search, Western Australia government offered a million dollar , ($750,000) reward for information leading to the four year old.

How Cleo was found the locked house?
A total of 100 officers rescue force gathered a lot of evidence in the painstaking investigation of 18 days. The officers were also examining receipts or any sorts from the trash can near the campsite. After just few days, the search became nationwide with alerts of the missing girl’s sightings.
Late on Tuesday night, a clue emerged prompting a search warrant of the house Carnarvon and the rest an extraordinary story. A suspect is captured but the Western Australia police has not released any further information on the man.

A criminologist from the Newcastle University ,Xanthe Mallett said, finding a missing girl after suspected kidnapping by a stranger, is rare. Whenever a child goes missing, every second is precious.
